This final piece combines my ideas about what kind of creatures lurk in the dark places of bedrooms. The mysterious and fantastical atmosphere of the piece reflects the strange and vivid imaginations of children. I used this piece to challenge the idealisation of childhood which ignores the essential darkness that lies beneath, presenting an ambiguous and subjective picture which I hope reflects the diversity of childhood experience.
